Paco avrundar 2014 med att låta scenkaraktärer från Sverige och utlandet enligt ett standardiserat formulär och ur ett subkulturellt perspektiv utvärdera 2014. De "intervjuer" som är gjorda med icke svenskspråkiga har jag låtit bli att översätta, såväl för att spara tid som för att inte omedvetet färga svaren.Seanie Sean sjunger i Liverpool-bandet Streetpunk Drunks, som spelar med diverse "real oi!"-band i England. Dom har faktiskt lirat i Sverige också, på Åkes/Club Disorders feta rOi!-kväll i Söderort för ett par år sen och lyckades vara den kanske bästa live-akten den helgen.
Best gig of the year: IC1 in Scotland.
Biggest disappointment of the year/worst release: This might seem strange, but gigs with bad lighting are a big disappointment. You can’t really see what’s going happening onstage unless you are very near the stage. It also looks crap when you record it. Think it’s something promoters should take into consideration when putting on gigs.
Worst release would probably be any Angelic Upstarts re-release. Wish they’d stop emailing me about them
Some other thoughts on the scene of 2014? The scene (there’s two scenes, the bands who conform and the bands who don’t)... The bands we play with or go to see got better and better. I found it stupid that certain promoters started banning certain bands t-shirts from their gigs. This is not very Punk Rock.
Did something special, bad, sad or spectacular happen? If it did I missed it!
What's your plans for 2015? Streetpunk Drunks plan to record new songs Cheers, Smashed It, Time To Fight and Sociopath. Some of these tracks will appear on a 7” Vinyl. That’s our only real plans. We play gigs when asked and rarely practice.
