Top 3 7" to come out of 2014: 1. Violent Reaction (Dead End) hard working, and they play a style of hardcore that has all the old great influences with adding their own style of power violence. 2. Concrete (Subculture Street Troop) hard as fuck with still be able to be called Oi! 3. AggroCulture U.S. (Destiny Calls) genuine lyrics. No trying to be hard and thug shit. Ditch (lead singer) sings about real life stuff like becoming a step dad, negative attitude tough guys, and diving into the experiences of real life. After you listen to the E.P. you feel like you personally know the band.

Best show of 2014: Violent Reaction & The Flex. Saw them in a basement in the Capital Hill area of Seattle. It was in late June, and it was hot as shit. Me and Tyler brought our friend Frederick who's never been to a DIY show. Violent Reaction lead their set off with ACAB by the 4-Skins and everyone started noshing right away. The Flex was just as good. Both bands are true as hell.

Let Downs of 2014: I know a lot of people are talking about how good 2014 was with Oi! releases. I'm in the otherwise of the spectrum. Everything is kinda starting to sound the same to me in the Oi! genre. On one is saying anything different in their lyrical content, and selling records is coming down to who you can get to rep yo
ur shit on internet. Oi! Is an incredibly fun style to play, but I feel like it's running in circles when it comes to message and sound. I'm a music snob though. Hahaha.

What i'm looking forward to in 2015: Hitting the studio. Playing shows. Might do some traveling this year. I just got a new job that pays better then anything I've had in the past, so im looking forward to not going broke so often. Haha
