Last Rough Cause bildades i Darlington någon gång under det tidiga 80-talet och släppte den fantastiska sjutummaren The Violent Few på LRC Records 1985. Den följdes upp av två splitsläpp; ett med Society's Rejects på Oi Records 1986 och det andra med walesiska Anhrefn på Released Emotions Records 1989. Sångaren Andy Wears spelade även i mer namnkunniga Major Accident.2003 spelade ett återförenat Last Rough Cause in fyra nya låtar, som Wears släppte själv som ett 20-årsjubileum i endast 50 exemplar. Detta gick han ut med i en intervju på nu nerlagda Punk & Oi! in the UK:
"On the new releases front the only other plan's I have is to put the recording out myself as a limited edition 20th anniversary release. This will go under the title full circle and will be limited to 50 copies only. The CD will be put on to CDR discs and will contain the four studio tracks we have just recorded and will also contain one bonus track unique to that disc which will either be a demo recording of a new song, an unreleased demo of an old song or a live track. So each disc is a one off, no two discs will be the same. The discs will be available from me as soon as this article appears on the web and will be totally free of charge to anyone who e-mails me with their details."
Siten The Ultimate UK82 Discography säger följande om den:

En kulturgärning! såg Andy Wears på den akustiska scenen i Morecambe för ett par år sedan. Även det var mycket bra!
Glömde säga att låten Lies även spelats in av Major Accident, men det visste väl alla redan...
